Luckily the flower tree behind Dr. Dorjee’s room was full in blossom. 3 flowers in a water bowl could be offered to the medicine buddha for the prayers every morning.
On this March Wellbeing Camp new faces appeared with the Tibetan team arriving from Bangalore: Tenzin Yeshi and the assistant doctor Dr. Tenzin Jigme (Name has been changed to maintain confidentiality).
Tenzin Yeshi’s task was packing the medicines, which made him sweating. His first time in Kerala he was so enthusiastic about, that he bought immediately a Mundu, a traditional dress for men, to wear it every day.
Dr. Tenzin Jigme (Name has been changed to maintain confidentiality) was a monk when he lived once in Tibet. He came to India for studying Tibetan medicine. Yazin Azad made an interview with him.

It made me very happy, that my good friend Mrinalini could participate this time as a volunteer for 2 days, which gave us some more time to talk than usual …
(about Mrinalini see on my blog: Lecture of Mrinalini Rajgopal on healing plants in our surroundings: http://sylvianderhouse.blogspot.in/2013/10/lecture-of-mrinalini-rajgopal-on.html)
As on every Wellbeing Camp my sister in law Susema consulted the doctor, Mrinalini was translating.
Sometimes I join the consultation, enjoying to watch Dr. Dorjee’s concentration while listening to the pulse of the patient …
When Mrinalini was not needed for translation she helped the patients to fill the forms or to explain the intake of the medicines. Once in a while there was a little crowd, waiting outside for consultation, waiting in the hall for receiving the medicines, filling the forms …
As mostly, Sonam had no rest, constantly busy with counting and writing the bills … but between she still is in the mood to make some fun and everybody is laughing :-)
Suresh Babu was engaged with his lectures about healing in my stitching room, which turns into Sethu’s office and his sleeping room during the Wellbeing Camp.
It seems more and more patients are interested to listen to Suresh. Of course, holistic healing is his favorite subject and in the evening we talk a lot about this complex theme …
On one day, a laying patient with a brain tumor was brought in the ambulance, not able to get up or to talk.
After Dr. Dorjee had listened to his pulse, Suresh sat beside the weak patient to give him some inspirations and mental support …
Many patients suffer with body pain. Beside medicines Dr. Dorjee tries to help with some pressure massage and with advices how to exercise, sometimes with cup therapy.
Together with his assistant doctor he listened to the pulse of this woman to get an answer for her chronic pain …
Afterwards I had the chance to talk to her and got to know a spark of her exhausting life, which gave me an anticipation about her suffering, having to much load on her paining shoulders …
Meanwhile in the hall was a big rush. The days were long and getting hotter …
On one late evening Dr. Dorjee had to give an interview to a radio channel via Skype …
But what ever is going on, Simba, our little Buddha, performs the wonderful art of perfect relaxation … I can learn a lot from our 3 cats!
